Application
Aqua FluorShield (OVV) is used for treatment of mineral building materials (e.g. silicate-bonded) natural stone, such as sandstone, floors and walls inside and outside that have a tendency to be polluted by oil, grease, dirt, etc.

Remark:
On marble and other acid sensitive and bad absorbing surfaces with a polished surface as well as on tiles, (even grading, absorption, gloss reduction, etc.) a test should be made before. This is also recommended for surfaces that have been treated with other products in the past.
Product properties
Aqua-FluorShield OVV is an aqueous, environmentally friendly, protective impregnator, which facilitates maintenance. Once dry, the surface is oil, grease and dirt repellent. The material reacts with the air humidity present in the substrate to form a water-repellent UV- and weather-resistant structure.
After processing, the active ingredient fixes itself in the capillaries and pores as a macromolecular layer, without the vapour permeability changing significantly.
Substrate
Residues (e.g. tenside) must be removed before. Otherwise they may impair the function of the product. Prerequisites for an optimal impregnating effect are the absorption of the product. This depends on the pore volume of the surface to be treated and on the moisture content. Therefore, the surface must be as dry as possible. It must be impossible for water and salts dissolved in it to penetrate behind the treated area.
High salt concentrations may lead to damage, which cannot be prevented by treatment with Aqua-FluorShield OVV. Floors should not be treated with wax containing products.
