Concrete is seemingly hard and indestructible, yet concrete suffers greatly in most conditions due to various chemical and mechanical stresses both indoors and out.

Concrete floors, retaining walls, slatted floors, corn slabs, farmyard pavement, trench silos and feed troughs are affected by acids and intensive cleaning, think corn juices with a pH level of 4 or lower.

Why protect?
When pouring the concrete, pores and capillaries are created, these later act as an efficient water transport system in the concrete.
Unprotected concrete thereby absorbs pollution, acid rain, chlorine, acids, with the lime and cement disappearing from the concrete, this causes the concrete to become rough in texture and less dense, accelerating the deterioration, this results in remediation measures that cause significant costs, in addition, rough concrete is a perfect breeding ground for all kinds of bacteriën.

SilicaTop is an innovative, environmentally friendly one-component, aqueous liquid of silicate and lithium. It reacts with lime in the concrete and penetrates deeply into the surface and forms a dense silica structure in the pores. Simply put, the pores are naturally compacted with glass.
This crystallization creates a durable water-repellent seal against water, acids and aggressive chemicals, resulting in: higher pressure resistance, substantially reduced absorption of harmful substances through poriën compaction and thus a longer service life.

Suitable for the following applications:
Durable concrete surface protection against aggressive liquids such as acids and alkalis on mineral substrates of concrete and cement.

Working method: Impregnation
Applied by low pressure flow system, i.e. SilicaTop is applied in 2 to 3 treatments until the surface is saturated.
